Maurizio Zappettini, also known as mzo, or methazoo in the metaverse, is an award-winning advertising director, creative director, 3D art director, and VFX supervisor based in Los Angeles, California.
As a director, Maurizio, a graduate of Art Center College of Design, has been helming and crafting acclaimed advertising campaigns and music videos in the United States and Europe since the early 2000s. Alongside directing, Maurizio has been cultivating a deep interest in 3D design, animation, and visual effects since the early days of his career. He has progressively merged these skills into his directing work, often working as the director, visual effects supervisor, animator, and computer graphics supervisor in the same project. Maurizio has a deep passion for creative technologies and likes to experiment with new tools and innovative workflows to unleash creative possibilities and create motion imagery in the most efficient way possible.
